I was at Concord Pet's store recently, and I was ready to purchase pigs ears for my dog, Mr. Mac. As I was at the check out counter, I happened to see a different kind of treat for dogs. The treat was animal Hooves. I was grossed out at first to see this treat, but then I found it interesting after staring at it for a while. The Hooves made me wonder if Mr. Mac would know this was a treat and would he enjoy it. I decided to purchase a hoof, and see if Mr. Mac would like it.
When I brought the hoof home in a bag, Mr. Mac instantly could smell the treat and wanted whatever I had for him right away. I placed the Hoof on the floor and he just stared and sniffed it for a good five minutes. Then Mr. Mac looked up at me as if to tell me he had no clue what to do with it. I kept on pointing at it and saying "treat". Mr. Mac didn't seem to understand the hoof, so I walked away to do something else. When I came back ten minutes later, he was chewing at the hoof like he did whenever he got a regular bone. Mr. Mac seemed content and very occupied by this treat.
Later that day, my family saw the treat and was completely grossed out by the fact I would even consider buying it. Halloween is my favorite Holiday, so in a way they kind of understood why I would find this treat fun to buy for my dog. I believe this treat is gross and cool! It is gross because it is an animal body part that my dog ate in the living room. However, it is cool because Mr. Mac completely enjoyed every second of eating it. Whatever is cool to my dog is cool to me too!
